Free beginner and intermediate adult cycle training sessions, delivered by qualified cycling instructors in a safe and supportive environment. For first-time riders, learn how to ride a bike and gain confidence, and for regular cyclists, learn the skills to cycle safely on the road.


Join in gentle moves, seated or standing, at the weekly qigong/tai chi group. Promotes calm and wellbeing and improves balance. Come along and enjoy a lovely relaxed exercise class.

The Exe Estuary offers fantastic river and estuary views. You’ll also spot wildlife as the nearby marshes provide a year-round haven for thousands of birds and are looked after by the RSPB.

A friendly pickleball club welcoming players of all abilities. Nine regular weekly sessions at two sports centres in Exeter, including dedicated social, competitive and coached sessions.


Situated on the Exeter Ship Canal basin on Exeter’s beautiful historic quayside. The origins of the Club can be traced back to the early 1800’s and with over 140 members, they are one of the largest and most successful clubs in the region. Members regularly compete at local, national and international levels.


Every Wednesday 7pm-8pm on the 3G pitch at Wonford Sports Centre. Plus every Sunday 6pm-7 pm on the 3G pitch at Exeter City's Cliff Hill training ground. £4 for the hour. Club membership costs £20 for a year. No running, non-contact designed for older adults and people returning from injury, all inclusive for all genders and abilities.

Pole combines many different forms of exercise, from dance to gymnastics, and acrobatics to strength training. A charity that uses sport and physical activity to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems. Sessions take place every week, all year around.


The studio is open for daily Yoga and wellbeing sessions, offering group classes, private group classes, one-to-ones, easy to access weekly online schedule, outsourced bookings for office staff, care homes, hostels, prison and secure spaces retreats, workshops and festivals, Park Yoga, bespoke peer groups etc.


A group of local residents who run, walk, or cycle to help out community projects and older people in Exeter. From hanging curtains because someone can't manage it on their own, to shovelling a tonne of compost for the Food Growers Group so they can grow vegetables - every GoodGym session is different.


Live sessions every day on the Virtual Village Hall covering a diverse range of activities including cooking, crafts, health & wellbeing and exercise classes. Our activities are for people of all ages and you can join in at home on your own or in a group setting with friends.


​Sundays 7pm-8pm at Exeter College Sports Hall, Victoria Yard (off Queen Street), Exeter EX4 3SR. £3 per session. Inclusive for adults aged 18+ and all abilities. No running. no physical contact and no experience required.


Friday evenings 6.30pm at Exwick Cricket Ground, Exeter EX4 2HY. Free and open to all. No running, shorter matches, modified equipment (softer balls and lightweight bats), smaller teams, and a focus on inclusivity.


Saturdays 9.30am-10.30am at the club and Wednesdays 6pm-7:00pm at the club during the summer, and at St Peter's School from October to April. A slower, non-contact version of the game, aimed at over-55’s (but open to anyone over 18) and to all genders. Particularly suited to retired players, those recovering from injury and illness, and those who wish to stay fit and active.


Sundays 12.30pm-1.30pm at Exwick Tennis Courts, Ennerdale Way, Exeter EX4 2BQ. Free sessions open to adults aged 18+, all abilities welcome. No running.
