Runs door to door transport services for older people in some parts of the country. These either take the form of wheelchair-accessible minibus services or befriending schemes, where the befriender is a travelling companion for an older person. In other areas, may be able to help older people to arrange transport with a local provider, such as Dial-a-Bus or the Royal Voluntary Service.


ExeAccess provides manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters to help anyone who has difficulty getting around the shops, attractions and businesses in the City Centre. Anyone over 18 can hire equipment, no matter whether their mobility problem is temporary or permanent, the service is available to residents and visitors in Exeter. They also have one wheelchair and three strollers for children available to hire.


The bus collects from different areas of the city on different days of the week, around 10am. The driver will pick you up from home and help you board the bus if requested. You will have around 2 hours at a large supermarket and will be assisted by the driver to help with your shopping when boarding for the return journey.


The Devon Access Wallet scheme is an initiative to help make journeys by bus or train easier for anyone with communication difficulties, people with disabilities, deaf people and those whose first language is not English.
